Honeoye Lake

The water temperature is not rising very much for the end of May. Most locations will show 61.5 to 62 in the early hours, with isolated pockets reaching 64 later in the day. Cool night temperatures are extracting any gains that have been made during the daylight hours. Bass are biting and most are scattered. Weed growth is very thick in some areas.

Spinnerbaits, small crank baits, ned rigs and plastic baits have all been working. There have been times when color has made a difference in the catch ratio, but watermelonseed and green pumpkin have produced best.

Good fishing, wear your life vest and we will see you on the water.
